NFT 016: The Bridges of Newcastle upon Tyne

Our photo project of the bridges of Newcastle upon Tyne at the Geordies, as the residents of Newcastle upon Tyne are also called, naturally took place at night. Then the many lamps on the river promenades together with the spotlights on the bridges create a fantastic lighting atmosphere.

One almost gets the impression that Newcastle and the town of Gateshead on the opposite side of the Tyne are trying to create a wonderful light spectacle together.

Of the seven bridges, the High Level Bridge dates from the mid-19th century, the Tyne Bridge from the 1920s and the Gateshead Millennium Bridge are timely 21st Century.
