Andorra's impressive mountains

The mountains of Andorra were a surprise for us. Well-developed roads lead through the deep valleys of this country to the mountain regions. Many beautiful hiking routes are signposted from here, leading to altitudes of over 2,000 m.

The surprising onset of winter during our stay covered the beautiful landscape with snow, so that we got wonderful mountain scenes and the icicles of the gurgling mountain streams did not let the camera rest.

The historic buildings in Andorra, such as bridges and chapels from the Middle Ages, are also impressive. E.g. the Pont de Sant Antoni de la Grella, a Romanesque arched bridge within the municipality of La Massana. The simple construction with a keystone arch is 21 meters long. Or the 16th-century church of Sant Pere del Serrat in Serrat, a village in the Parroquia Ordino at an altitude of 1539 meters.
